Güvenç Özel is the Technology Studio Lead of IDEAS, the postgraduate degree program and industry collaboration incubator of UCLA Department of Architecture and Urban Design, where he teaches masters level design studio and conducts technological research. The primary topics of investigation focus on applications of contemporary technology into architectural environments with a specific interest in interactivity, sensing technology, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, automation and artificial intelligence where the conventional boundaries between human presence, perception and space are challenged through technology.
